St Mary the Virgin, Bishopsbourne

n 1871-2, a major restoration of this church took place under Sir George Gilbert Scott, when the boarded wagon roofs were put in the nave and chancel, he reseated the nave and the aisles and planned to renew the stonework around the windows at a cost of around £2,000.
