Obituary: Richard Gilbert Scott (1923-2017)

Richard Gilbert Scott

Richard Gilbert Scott was a British architect, the son of Giles Gilbert Scott and the grandson of George Gilbert Scott. Robert worked for the Scott family firm until 1999, designing buildings which played with neo-Gothic and modernist styles.

His work includes the design of the West Wing of the Guildhall, London, St Mark's Church, Biggin Hill, and Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Tile Cross, Birmingham. One of Richard’s favourite projects was for Blue Circle Cement at Aldermaston Court, Berkshire.
