Wycombe Union Workhouse, Saunderton

This was almost completely demolished in 1955 when it was described as a ‘very ugly and derelict workhouse’. It was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and Moffatt using their Tudor style and short H plan, and was built by C. Kirk between 1841-3, at a cost of £8,000.
