Workhouse, Witham

This was built between 1837-9 to a Sir George Gilbert Scott and Moffatt plan in a Classical style to house 300 inmates. It includes a polygonal central block of four stories with three storey wings and an arched gateway. It has recently been redeveloped for residential use.
