Workhouse, Madron, Penzance

The Sir George Gilbert Scott and Moffatt stone Jacobean style design was approved in 1837 and the tender of £4,649 by William Veal accepted and the building authorised in 1838. It was intended to house 400 paupers. Only the entrance range and infirmary survive today. (see also Liskeard)
