Union Workhouse, Horninglow Street, Burton-on-Trent

This workhouse was built in 1837-9 to a Sir George Gilbert Scott and Moffatt standard plan, at a cost of £5,400, to house 300 inmates. It had a three storey main accommodation block. The site was sold in 1891 and the buildings demolished, the area used for storage by a brewery.
