St Peter's, Bridge

Between 1859-61, Sir George Gilbert Scott undertook a ‘drastic’ restoration here, partly rebuilding the church. It was refaced with knapped flint and Bathstone dressings, and the vestry to the north-east and the tower stair-turret added. The west end of the north aisle was extended, with round-headed arches under the tower in a Decorated style.
