St Mary the Virgin, Timsbury

In 1850-3 Sir George Gilbert Scott restored and enlarged this church, his work including a new chancel, the road being moved to accommodate this. He also added the east end and west tower, with a new chapel and transepts. Side aisles were added in 1852, when benches and side galleries were taken away and the interior reorganised.
