In 1865, Sir George Gilbert Scott restored and extended this seventeenth century house for the Rev. William Buckley, a ‘personal friend’ of his. He added a north wing incorporating a new entrance porch in fourteenth century style. The extension was demolished in 1973 and it is now a care home.
