Christ Church, Wanstead

This church was built by Sir George Gilbert Scott between 1859-63, from Kentish Ragstone. Originally, it was a chancel, with the north aisle and a nave of four bays. In 1867 Daniel Cobbett added a south aisle and lengthened the church by a bay. A tower and spire were then added in 1869 and vestries in 1889.
